The A30 in Cornwall is due to close this weekend

The planned closure of the A30 this weekend will go ahead after Storm Ciarán scuppered earlier planned works.

Overnight and weekend closures of Cornish route are part of works to create a dual carriageway.

This week, overnight closures from Chiverton Cross to Carland Cross were cancelled.

A section from Chiverton Cross to Boxheater is still due to close from 20:00 GMT on 3 November until 06:00 on 6 November, National Highways said.

Traffic will be diverted via the B3285 and the A3075 during the weekend closures.

The work is being done as part of the government's Road Investment Strategy.

Future closures, which are subject to change, are in place throughout November and December.
