A humanitarian worker killed in Ukraine has been been given a medal by the country's government to recognise his efforts.
Chris Parry, 28, from Truro, Cornwall, brought more than 400 people to safety from the frontline before he was shot by Russian mercenaries in January 2023.
The Cross of Honour and Glory was given to his parents during an aid convoy trip to Ukraine.
Rob and Christine said they were touched to have been given the medal.
Mr Parry said: "It means the world to us that Ukraine has fully acknowledged what Chris did for them, that they embraced him and that he's been loved and taken into their family."
Mrs Parry said: "Chris loved the Ukrainian people passionately and he would have been so honoured to have received this medal.
"It was totally unexpected and it was a lovely, lovely gesture."
