Cornish social care users asked to give views on plans
- Published
Adults who receive social care in Cornwall have been asked to give their feedback to proposed service changes.
Cornwall Council said the proposals would see people told how much money they might get for their care budget.
At the moment, people who receive support in the county have a personal budget decided by the cost of services they need.
Social care users, carers and care providers have been asked to give their views on the plans.
Call for feedback
Andy Virr, the council's cabinet lead for adult social care and health, said the new financial plan, called an Indicative Personal Budget, would help people decide what support they receive.
He said: "Once people have worked out how they would like their support to be arranged to meet their needs, their Indicative Budget will be 'set' and become their actual Personal Budget."
The council added the feedback it receives over the proposals will help ensure the plans are effective and identify ways it could be simplified.
