West Midlands firefighters in Coventry training exercise

More than 50 firefighters have been taking part in a major incident training exercise in Coventry.

Crews from across the West Midlands service area were involved, alongside other staff, in a large-scale simulated search and rescue.

A self-storage warehouse on Read Street was used because of its size and lack of daylight, a spokesperson said.

Actors were also used to play the part of casualties in a "confusing pitch black environment".
