Fall in Devon, Torbay and Plymouth jobless figures

Unemployment fell slightly in Devon, Plymouth and Torbay last month.

A total of 21,893 people were out of work and claiming Job Seekers' Allowance (JSA), down from 22,165 in February, said the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

But the number of people claiming JSA in Devon, Torbay and Plymouth was still 1,735 higher than February last year.

In Torbay 4.9% of the working population were claiming JSA, 4% in Plymouth and 2.4% in Devon.
