Dorset day care service to save £600,000

  • Published

People in Dorset are being asked for their views on how to make £600,000 worth of savings to the county council's day care services.

Day centre managers are being asked to cut costs or generate income in order to make the savings by 2014.

Ideas to generate cash include hiring out rooms and running recreational classes in council-owned facilities.

The public consultation runs until 31 July, and the results will be brought to the council's cabinet in November.
