Lyme Regis Christmas pudding racers aim for glory

Thousands of people packed Lyme Regis seafront to see a pub team scoop the honour of being champion Christmas pudding racers.
The event involved teams of six tackling an obstacle course on the Dorset coast while carrying a pudding.
The race on Saturday afternoon was won by a team from the Volunteer Inn pub in the resort. More than £5,000 was raised for Cancer Research UK.
Organiser Philip Evans boasted it was "Dorset's whackiest festive event".
More than 3,000 people turned out to see this year's event, which also included a Chase the Pudding race where competitors aimed to catch up with a runner dressed as a Christmas pudding.
The event, now in its third year, is based on a similar race held in Covent Garden.
