Biker dies and passenger injured in Compton Abbas crash

A motorcyclist has died and his passenger seriously injured after a crash with a car in Dorset.
The 74-year-old biker from the Blandford area died at the scene of the smash near Compton Abbas Airfield on Sunday afternoon.
A 71-year-old woman who was riding pillion was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police have arrested a 24-year-old man from the Shaftesbury area on suspicion of driving offences and bailed.
Officers have appealed for witnesses to the crash, which happened on Higher Shaftesbury Road at about 15:40 BST.
