Sherborne: Persimmon Corelli estate residents want more developer support

Residents of an unfinished housing estate have called for more support at a meeting with its developer.
Homeowners at the Corelli estate, in Sherborne, previously complained of rubble and rubbish left behind, as well as dead trees and poor lighting.
They pay the Corelli Management Company, which oversees the running of the estate, for maintenance but have said work has not yet been done.
Developer Persimmon said the work would be finished "to the highest standard".
Kevin Graham, who has lived on the estate since 2016, said there had been "endless frustrations", but added: "Hopefully we're nearing the end now."
First Port - previously Blenheim Estate and Asset Management - and Persimmon are the organisations that form the Corelli Management Company.
Residents had a list of issues, including uncertainty about the use of the maintenance fee, which they all pay for the upkeep of the estate and which saw a 25% increase this year.
They also raised concerns about subsidence of the primary tarmac pathway towards Sherborne town centre.
Resident Nicola Stafford said it was "an accident waiting to happen" and the developer told her it would be rectified.
In the meeting, Mr Graham also led resident calls for "trust on the accounts" which he said they had not seen since 2021.
The management company said account information would be shared in a timely manner.
A Persimmon spokesperson said: "We recently met with residents to stress our commitment to fulfilling our obligations at the Corelli development
"The works under way include the completion of roads, footpaths, public open space and removal of any spoil and waste on site.
"We are committed to completing the development to the highest standard and will continue to liaise with residents about the programme of on-going works."
