Dashcam shows driver mount kerb and crash into barrier in Haverhill

Dashcam footage has been released showing the moment a driver mounted a kerb and crashed into a barrier before continuing his journey.

It also shows the car weaving across the road and navigating a roundabout the wrong way in Haverhill during the early hours of 12 November last year.

Police arrested Merlvin Jose, 42 of Ruffles Road, Haverhill, on suspicion of drink-driving and he pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis at Ipswich Magistrates' Court on 9 January.

He was disqualified from driving for two years, fined £864 and ordered to pay £346 victim surcharge and £105 in costs.
