Halloween attackers target couple on Southampton bus

A couple were injured during an attack on a bus in Southampton by a group wearing Halloween costumes.

The attackers were dressed in a range of outfits, including ghosts, zombies and one as Harry Potter, on the top deck of a Blue star double-decker bus.

As the group was getting off the bus in London Road on Saturday night some of them attacked the couple.

Two men were arrested in connection with the incident and bailed.

The male victim, aged 20, was left with bruising to his head and back and a broken nose.

The woman, aged 19, had bruising to her head and back and some of her hair was pulled out.

The group involved included young men and women.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses.
