Three arrested after fire at Cleethorpes former church

Firefighters tackled a blaze in Cleethorpes after a former church went up in flames

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of arson after a blaze at a former church in Cleethorpes.

Firefighters were called to the Beaconthorpe Methodist Church site in Grimsby Road at 22:15 BST on 5 October.

The fire was extinguished and no-one was injured, according to police.

Humberside Police said the men arrested in connection with the fire had been released on bail while further investigations into the cause of the blaze are carried out.

Officers asked for anyone with information about the incident to contact police.
