Bluewater says it will advertise the new jobs at its own recruitment centre

Expanding one of the UK's largest shopping centres could create 2,300 jobs, 800 more than previously thought.

Lend Lease, the owner of Bluewater, near Dartford, Kent, recently unveiled proposals to extend its West Village with 20% more shops and restaurants.

Plans for the shopping and leisure complex will go on display to the public at Stone Pavilion hall in Dartford on Friday and Saturday.

Bluewater opened in March 1999 and attracts 28 million visitors a year.

Dartford MP Gareth Johnson has said he welcomes the proposals and the "significant" investment in the local economy.
