A man has been arrested after multiple postboxes in Kent were painted gold.

The 26 incidents took place across Dartford between 31 January and 5 February, mainly in the Temple Hill area and surrounding roads.

Kent Police described the actions as "criminal damage" and previously released a CCTV image of a suspect.

On Tuesday, officers arrested a man matching the suspect's description during a foot patrol in Oldfield Place.

He remains in custody while enquiries continue, the force confirmed.
