Leeds murder inquiry: Two in court after man dies in Rothwell

A man and a woman have appeared in court charged with murdering a man in the Rothwell area of Leeds.
The deceased, named in court as 49-year-old Paul Davinson, died in hospital following an incident on Smithson Street on Saturday night.
Stephen Long, 48, and Cheryl Long, 46, both of Rothwell, appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
The defendants, both of Prospect Place, were remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday.
