A busy main route in West Yorkshire has reopened after a lorry overturned shortly before the morning rush hour.

The HGV flipped over at Ainley Top at about 06:35 BST on Tuesday, blocking the A629 Halifax Road near Huddersfield.

The M62 was slow as traffic queued for the junction, which has now reopened, West Yorkshire Police confirmed.

Recovery trucks worked to unload scrap metal from the stricken trailer. There were no reports of injuries.
