Two people have appeared in court charged over the death of a worker in an explosion at a Leicester kebab shop.
The body of 40-year-old Fiaz Ahmed Ansari was discovered in the rubble of Kams King of the Grill, almost 15 hours after the blast early on Monday.
Shahbaz Khan, from Harrow, and Mehwish Yasin, from Birmingham, both aged 24, have been charged with manslaughter.
They did not enter a plea during the hearing at Leicester Magistrates' Court.
Passports surrender
Both defendants were granted bail under strict conditions.
They were told they were not allowed to enter Leicester and were instructed to surrender their passports.
They must also report to police stations near to their homes on a daily basis.
Three women and one man who were arrested earlier this week have been released and will face no further action.
The shop, in Narborough Road, was completely destroyed, but it was initially believed that no-one had been hurt.
Mr Ansari's body was found during site clearance work on Monday afternoon.
Mr Khan and Ms Yasin are due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on 8 December.
