The family of Natasha Morais said she "will be greatly missed by us all"

Police have confirmed the identity of a woman found dead on Thursday as Natasha Morais.

Officers from Leicestershire Police were called to Loughland Close in Whetstone at about 20:40 BST on Thursday.

The 40-year-old was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene, a force statement said.

A 27-year-old man was detained at a house in Coventry and is still in police custody.

A 35-year-old woman has also been arrested in Coventry on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Three other people arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender - two men, aged 22 and 53, and a 19-year-old woman - have been released under investigation.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

In a statement, the family of Ms Morais said: "Natasha was loved by all her family and she will be greatly missed by us all.

"Her life was cut short and that will forever leave a hole in our hearts.

"We hold on to, and will always treasure, the beautiful memories we share and all the love she gave to all those around her."
