Police have made another murder arrest following the death of a man who was attacked in Leicester.

Matthew Schofield, 34, died after being assaulted in Belgrave Road at about 03:00 GMT on 11 June.

Leicestershire Police said a 34-year-old man arrested on Tuesday was currently in custody.

The total number of people arrested in connection with the case now stands at 15, with 10 people currently on police bail.

One person was released under investigation and three were released with no further action.

Mr Schofield was found by officers nearly 90 minutes after being attacked and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Last week his mother Emma Daniels made an appeal for information six months on from her son's death.

Detectives also released CCTV and bodyworn footage of Mr Schofield on his bike going to a nearby garage about an hour and a half before the assault occurred in a bid to refresh people's memory.

Although the assault took place in the early hours of the morning, police believe there may have been people in the area, possibly making their way home after a night out in the city centre.
