Lincoln bus station plans go on display

Plans for a new bus station and shopping area in Lincoln city centre have gone on show.

The Lindongate scheme includes a department store, a 900-space car park and up to 21 residential properties.

Lincolnshire Co-operative, which is behind the plans, said it would also create better links between the railway station and the city centre.

Part of Sincil Street would have to be demolished for the new development.

The application was originally submitted in June 2008 but has been amended following a public consultation. A selection of the plans are on show at City Hall on Beaumont Fee, and residents have until 1 December to comment.
