Lincoln Olympic events centred on big screen

A big screen will be the focus of Olympic events in Lincoln city centre, it has been confirmed.
The public screen will be part of a "mini Olympic park" in the Cornhill area, organisers said.
They added that while the park would be the centrepiece, it was just one of a series of events and attractions to mark the year of the Games.
The Olympic torch will arrive in Lincoln on 27 June as part of its national tour.
Economic benefit
Lincoln Business Improvement Group (BIG) said events would begin in March with the Discover Lincoln Weekend when major buildings will be open free of charge.
Other attractions will include a busking festival and a cycling competition.
Matt Corrigan, from Lincoln BIG, said they would do all they could to make sure the city got maximum benefit from the Games.
"It is about creating the atmosphere and the buzz in the city. If a place is lively and there is lots going on then people will come to that place more often, they will stay longer, they will tell their friends they have had a good experience.
"These are all things that increase the number of people in the city centre and that does have a direct economic benefit."
The opening ceremony of London 2012 will be on 27 July.
