Lincolnshire town shop-fronts get £80,000 makeover

An £80,000 scheme to refurbish shop-fronts in Lincolnshire towns is "making a big difference", according to the council helping to fund it.
The scheme started in Grantham, before moving to Bourne and is due to be rolled out to Stamford and Market Deeping later in 2013.
The work aims to restore or replace shop fronts in keeping with the character of the original buildings.
South Kesteven District Council said it wanted to encourage business.
'Encourage more visitors'
So far, eight projects have been completed in Grantham, costing £32,641, with a further five planned, costing £63,381.
In Bourne, seven projects have been completed, costing £22,653, with a further four planned, costing £22,718.
Councillor Frances Cartwright, who oversees economic development, said the scheme would encourage more people to visit Grantham.
"We have put money into these projects because we want to do all we can to support local businesses and as a result make Grantham a more attractive place to live and visit," she said.
Grantham Appliance Service was one of the businesses that took part in the scheme.
Landlord Robert Hodgson said he was happy with the improvements.
