The opening date and traders for the new Cornhill Market in Lincoln have been announced.
The newly-refurbished market will officially open to the public on 17 May and has promised to put local traders at the forefront.
The City of Lincoln Council will host a celebration at the opening, 86 years after it first opened in 1938.
Previously Central Market, the £7m refurbishment first started in May 2022.
A government programme of £5.9m from Be Lincoln Town Deal, £1.9m from City of Lincoln Council and additional funding from Historic England has funded the regeneration works.
The City of Lincoln Council said the new market will be a "perfect blend of a traditional city marketplace and a high-quality food hall".
Ten stallholders have been announced as the first traders with more to be announced over the next few weeks.
Some of these include Stokes, a family-run coffee company, Tick King, specialising in watch repairs, Bradford Plants, a Lincolnshire-based couple selling plants, and Oatz and Co, selling sweet treats baked with oats.
Refurbishment work to the market has included a new mezzanine floor overlooking the market floor, demolition of the butcher's corridor with a new two-storey extension, and new toilets.
Opening hours of the market will be extended, with a food and drink offer available in the evenings.
The opening celebration of the market will continue on 18 May, with local food demonstrations in City Square.
