Lincoln's register office will move to larger premises in April 2025, officials have said.
Currently, marriages and civil partnership ceremonies are held in Lindum Road.
Lincolnshire County Council said the move to Orchard House, in Orchard Street, was in response to "significant demand".
Sue Woolley, executive councillor for registration, said couples would be able to invite more guests.
The new venue will be able to hold more ceremonies, the council said, with the largest ceremony able to hold up to 60 people, rather than 40 which is the capacity of the current office.
There will also be two additional rooms for smaller ceremonies, the council said.
Ms Woolley said: "We are continuing to see significant demand for marriages and civil partnerships in our register offices, so I'm delighted that we'll be able to provide better options for residents in Lincoln.
"Couples will be able to invite more guests to their larger ceremonies, and we can offer more flexibility in arrangements for smaller services too."
