The candidates in Hackney's mayoral by-election have been announced.
The previous mayor Philip Glanville resigned over his association with a disgraced former councillor.
Statutory Deputy Mayor of Hackney Anntoinette Bramble has assumed temporary leadership of the council until a new mayor is elected.
The by-election will take place on 9 November and six people have put their names forward to run for the borough's top job.
Those nominated to run to be mayor of Hackney are:
Simon De Deney, Liberal Democrats
Zoë Garbett, Green Party
Peter Smorthit, Independent
Simche Steinberger, The Conservative Party
Annoesjka Valent, Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition
Caroline Rebecca Woodley, Labour Party
Mr Glanville, who was first elected as mayor in 2016, stood down after he was pictured with councillor Tom Dewey at a Eurovision party in May.
The photograph was taken hours after news broke fellow Labour councillor Dewey was arrested on suspicion of possessing indecent images of children.
The mayor had previously said he did not see Dewey after learning of the arrest.
In August, Dewey was given a one-year suspended sentence after admitting possessing 1,850 indecent images of children.
