Watch: Surplus food donations turned into healthy meals

The Nourish Hub in Shepherd's Bush was set up as an alternative to food banks. Donations of surplus food are cooked up and made into healthy meals for local residents, who pay what they can afford.

The hub is on the Edward Wood Estate, in what were once vacant shops. It was set up by a charity that promotes healthy eating and minimal food waste. It now feeds around 200 people a day.

The hub also offers lessons to the community on how to make the most of food, helping people to save money. Throughout January, it will be operating as a welcome space and warm hub to help those struggling.
