A man has appeared in court charged with making thousands of nuisance 999 calls to Greater Manchester Police.
Wayne Davis, 43, is alleged to have rapped, chanted, sang and played loud music at operators between January 2008 and June 2010.
The alleged calls wasted £24,000 of public money, Trafford magistrates were told.
Mr Davis, of Upper Chorlton Road, Manchester, did not enter a plea. He is due to return to court on 10 February.
It is then expected that his case will be committed to the crown court.
