Manchester Northern Quarter bars evacuated after Almost Famous fire

Bars and businesses in Manchester's Northern Quarter were evacuated after a fire broke out in a burger restaurant kitchen.
Alarms sounded at Almost Famous on High Street with five fire crews sent to the building at about 13:30 BST.
Manchester Fire Service's Damian O'Rourke said the fire "got into the roof space" and crews had to work hard to bring it under control.
Tib Street, Edge Street, High Street and Thomas Street were evacuated.
The restaurant occupies the top floor of a building on High Street. Their spokesman said no-one had been injured in the fire.
A Manchester Fire Service spokesman said the fire had destroyed the restaurant's kitchen and caused the roof to collapse but fire fighters had "managed to stop it from spreading into the neighbouring buildings".
