Manchester City will celebrate their Premier League win in Albert Square in the city on Monday, the council said.

Highlights from the season will be screened from 17:00 BST, with the team showing the trophy to fans from 18:00 to 18:30.

An open top bus will then take the team from Albert Square on a one-mile route through the city centre.

The council said fans would be allowed free into the square from 16:00, on a "first-come first-served" basis.

But Manchester City Council said it could only allow a certain number of people into Albert Square and Exchange Square, external and advised fans to "get there early to avoid disappointment".

The route for the open top bus parade is through Peter Street, Deansgate and Exchange Square.

Supporters will not be allowed to drink alcohol along the parade route, the council warned.
