Duck family waddles through school in Manchester

It was a school open day for a family of ducks recently, when the waterfowl waddled through Manchester High School for Girls.

But it wasn't the first time students had heard the patter of tiny webbed feet, as the school has been a spring nesting site for ducks since the 1980s.

Staff and students annually shepherd the family safely through the building - lining their route to their new home at a nearby park.
