Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the man was one of two who were seriously injured in an attack on Dale Street in Manchester on 16 August.

Two 16-year-olds, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been charged with murder.
One of the boys was charged earlier and was remanded to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The other boy was charged on 16 November and was remanded in custody to appear at Manchester Crown Court on 4 December.
He will appear alongside four men - Mohammed Al-Enizi Hameed, 36, of Rusholme; Hussein Muhalhal, 20, of Longsight; Fares Hassan, 21, of Hulme; and Hussein Mouhelhel, 21, of Fallowfield - who have were previously charged with attempted murder and assault.
GMP said the men would now face charges of murder and assault.
