The 37-year-old man died at a house on Eleanor Street
A woman held on suspicion of murder over the death of a man who "brave members of the public" tried to resuscitate will face no further action, police have said.
The 37-year-old man was died at the scene after being found at a property on Eleanor Street in Wigan by officers at about 12:30 GMT on Saturday.
A 28-year-old woman who was arrested has now been released, the force said.
Det Ch Insp Mark Davis said it was "an incredibly sad case".
He said a "thorough investigation", which included a post-mortem examination, had found no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death.
He said it was "no longer being treated as a murder investigation", the scene had been "closed down and the woman has been released from police custody with no further action".
He added that a file would now be prepared for the coroner.
