Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary: Dog rehomed after nine years

A dog, who was the longest-serving resident at a Greater Manchester animal sanctuary, has "landed on his paws" by finally being rehomed after nearly a decade.

New owners Ken Marsh and Sandra Rothwell said the Akita-cross called Humbug "fits in so well" in their home.

"We're very attached to him. He is loved already," Mr Marsh said.

Karen Weed from the Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary in Ramsbottom, Bury, said they were "absolutely over the moon" Humbug had been adopted and was snuggling up in a warm home rather than outdoor kennels.
