A police officer has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl when he was on duty.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) constable Dean Dempster "sexually touched" the child in Oldham on 29 December, 2023.
Dempster, of Langford Road in Manchester, admitted one count of sexual assault at Liverpool Crown Court.
A second count of misconduct in public office was ordered to lie on the file.
Dempster, who is formally suspended from duty, is next due to appear in court on 26 April, when a date for sentence will be set.
Judge Stuart Driver, KC, remanded Dempster in custody ahead of the next hearing.
Dempster joined GMP in 2021 after serving as a special constable and an ambulance service paramedic.
The force previously said misconduct proceedings would resume after sentencing.
