Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 16-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in Liverpool.
Daniel Gee-Jamieson was found on Belle Vale Road, Gateacre, at about 21:00 BST on Tuesday, Merseyside Police said.
He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead at about midnight.
A 17-year-old teenage boy from Gateacre had earlier been arrested on suspicion of murder and another boy, also 17, was later held.
Merseyside Police said the second teenager was from Belle Vale.
Det Ch Supt Chris Green said police wanted to speak to witnesses, including "a male and female who we believe administered first aid to the victim".
Police said the stabbed teenager was from Liverpool.
Resident Darcy Hartley, 74, said she heard raised voices outside at about 21:00.
"It sounded like a large group of boys, then a lot of police turned up," she said.
Another local, who did not want to be named, said they "went out and had a look and could see the lad being treated by paramedics just over the road".
"It's terrible, it seems to be getting worse. Life is cheap these days, with people carrying knives around," they added.
Det Ch Supt Green also appealed for anyone with dashcam footage from around the time of the attack to come forward.
A cordon is in place in the area while forensic and house-to-house inquiries take place.
