Police find 15 people in vehicle on M62 in Warrington

Officers issued traffic offence reports to the driver and unrestrained adults

Police officers were "shocked" to discover 15 people "all unrestrained" in a vehicle on a motorway.

North West Motorway Police said on X officers escorted the Vauxhall Zafira off junction nine of the M62 at Warrington, Cheshire, at 11:20 GMT after spotting it "looked overloaded".

Eleven adults and four children were then found in the vehicle all without seat belts on, police said.

They added the driver and other adults were given traffic offence reports.
