Old Swan: Three more arrests after man shot in face

Three more people have been arrested after the death of a man who was shot in the face.

Peter Hale, 50, was shot inside a flat in Haslingden Close in Old Swan, Liverpool, on 29 January, Merseyside Police said.

He died in hospital a week later.

A 38-year-old man from Garston has been held on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs. He remains in police custody.

A 49-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman, also from Garston, were detained on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The pair have been conditionally bailed pending further inquiries.

Shay Walker, 25, of Stoneycroft, was previously charged with murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
