Music mogul Pete Waterman says model railways will never die

Music mogul Pete Waterman has said model railways are a hobby that will always be popular.

The Warrington-born producer of some of the 80s biggest stars is an enthusiast for the pastime.

He believes it still attracts younger people despite the recent loss of Hattons Model Railway shop in Widnes after 77 years - one of the UK's oldest model train shops.

The record producer and DJ is building the world's biggest model railway at his barn in Cheshire.
