Man dies in Norwich city centre subway

The subway was cordoned off by police following a man's death

A man has died in a subway in Norwich city centre.

Officers and paramedics were called to St Stephen's Street subway at about 07:00 BST after a man was found collapsed.

Police said the death is being treated as unexplained but is not thought to be suspicious and a post-mortem examination is due to take place.

The subway was cordoned off while inquiries were carried out. Locals said two homeless men regularly slept there.
