A woman in her 40s has suffered life-threatening injuries in a road crash in which a racehorse was killed.
The crash between a car and a horsebox happened on the A47 Acle Straight, near Great Yarmouth, at about 15:45 BST on Sunday, Norfolk Police said.
The racehorse, called Lincoln Pride, had won the opening race at Yarmouth, according to trainer David O'Meara.
The woman, who was driving a Renault Master horsebox, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
A man in his 20s, who was driving a black Land Rover Discovery, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston, police said.
His female passenger was also hurt.
The horsebox ended up in a ditch and the racehorse died at the scene.
Trained by York-based Mr O'Meara, Lincoln Pride - ridden by Jason Watson, had just won the 14:05 at Yarmouth Racecourse.
The A47 stretch - which links the village of Acle with Great Yarmouth - was closed for about nine hours.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
