Seal released in Norfolk after recovering from injury

Video has captured the moment a seal was released back into the sea nearly three months after being found with a plastic ring around his neck.

Hades was spotted badly injured on Horsey Beach in Norfolk on 23 September and was "exhausted and underweight", according to the RSPCA.

He was taken to the charity's East Winch Wildlife Centre, which said it had treated 12 seals with objects entangled around their necks this year.

Centre manager Evangelos Achilleos said: "No matter how many seals we release, every one is just as special. There is nothing better than watching a rehabilitated animal return back to the wild where they belong."
