A road in Northamptonshire was closed for five hours after a lorry became trapped while attempting to drive under a low railway bridge.

The A428 was shut between East Haddon and Great Brington when the lorry crashed into the bridge near Althorp at about 11:00 BST.

Northamptonshire Police said the road was cleared at about 16:00 BST.

London Midland said it had disrupted rail journeys on the Northampton to Rugby line.
