A 21-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murdering his wife and his mother-in-law in Oxfordshire.

Michaela Gol, 28, and 50-year-old Julie Sahin were found after officers went to a home in Ireton Court, Thame, early on Sunday.

Ensar Gol, of Ireton Court, a Turkish national, is also accused of attempting to murder Casey Wilson, 19, who is a friend of his wife's family.

He faced magistrates in Oxford and was remanded in custody.

Through a Turkish interpreter, Mr Gol spoke to confirm his name and date of birth.

He was told to appear before Oxford Crown Court on Wednesday.

Miss Wilson remains in hospital receiving treatment for her injuries.
