A 17-year-old boy arrested after the death of an Oxford schoolgirl who died from taking ecstasy has pleaded guilty to selling drugs to children.

Martha Fernback, 15, suffered a cardiac arrest at Hinksey Park on 20 July last year after taking the drug MDMA (ecstasy).

The Cherwell School pupil, who had been in the park with a group of friends, died shortly afterwards in hospital.

Alex Williams, of Botley, admitted supplying controlled class A drugs.

After the hearing at Oxford Crown Court, Williams, of Sycamore Road, was released on bail.

He is due to be sentenced on 10 March.
