A cyclist has died following a crash with a car on a road in Oxfordshire.

Police officers were called to the scene on Frieze Way in Kidlington at about 18:40 GMT on Saturday.

A silver VW Golf was travelling towards the A44 roundabout when it collided with a grey Carrera mountain bike, Thames Valley Police said.

The cyclist, a 54-year-old man, died at the scene. His family have been informed.

No arrests have been made, police confirmed.

PC Liam Calvert, of the roads policing unit, appealed for witnesses and drivers with dashcam footage to contact the force.
