Plans to fund the building of a primary school at a new housing development in Didcot have been approved.

Oxfordshire County Council gave the go-ahead for £2.19m to be spent on the site at Valley Park during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

It will have space for 630 pupils, with a four class nursery provision and 12 places for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

The authority said the school was being paid for by developer contributions.
