Man stable after attempted murder stabbing outside Central Oxford Mosque

A man in his 40s is stable in hospital after he was stabbed outside a mosque, police who have begun an attempted murder investigation said.

Thames Valley Police said two men were in an alleyway between Cosin Close and Manzil Way between 18:30 GMT and 19:00 on Wednesday.

The men moved to Manzil Way where the offender attacked the victim with a knife.

Officers believe the men knew each other and are appealing for witnesses.

They are particularly interested in hearing from anyone with dash-cam, CCTV or mobile phone images.

The victim received first aid treatment at Central Oxford Mosque before an ambulance came to take him to hospital.
