Four Somerset recycling centres may charge £2.50

Four Somerset recycling centres which were due to close could stay open with people being charged to use them.

The proposal is to charge £2.50 per visit to the centres at Coleford, Middlezoy, Dulverton and Crewkerne.

Conservative-run Somerset County Council has previously said closing the centres would save £200,000.

Fourteen other centres could have their opening hours cut. Somerset Waste Board will vote on the proposals next Friday.
