Peanut allergy death: Easingwold restaurant owner charged

A North Yorkshire restaurant owner has been charged with manslaughter after a customer with a peanut allergy died from anaphylactic shock.
Paul Wilson, 38, of Helperby, suffered an allergic reaction to a takeaway from the Indian Garden restaurant in Easingwold, on 30 January 2014.
Mohammed Khalique Zaman, 52, from York, is also charged with perverting the course of justice.
He is due to appear at Northallerton Magistrates' Court on 24 April.
Mr Zaman has been further charged with an employment offence under the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
North Yorkshire Trading Standards has served summonses on Mr Zaman for six offences under food regulations.
