Victoria Woodhall: Man in court over healthcare worker's stab death

A 40-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murdering a healthcare worker who was stabbed to death.
Mother-of-three Victoria Woodhall, 31, who worked at Rotherham General Hospital, was attacked on Windsor Crescent, Barnsley, on Sunday afternoon.
Craig Woodhall, formerly of Windsor Crescent, appeared before Doncaster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday.
South Yorkshire Police said a post-mortem concluded that Ms Woodhall's cause of death was multiple stab wounds.
"While formal identification is yet to take place, the woman's family is receiving support from specially trained officers," a spokesman said.
Tributes have been paid Ms Woodhall and a GoFundMe page has been set up by her friends, Donna Wetherall and Kelly Sims, to raise money towards funeral costs and to help her children.
They said Ms Woodhall was an operating department practitioner, who was "always helping others" and "lived for her children".
The page raised more than £5,000 in 24 hours and the pair who set it up said: "Thank you to all that donated, we are overwhelmed by the response. Vicky would truly be amazed."
